I have configured to run my psyBNC on port 9909 - up until yesterday afternoon, everything was ok. Now when I try to start the service i get the error, cannot open listening port. I have attempted to change the port.

If you type "ps x" is it still running? If so, psybnc needs a hard kill -9 in order to kill it.
If it is not running, ssomething else might be on that port, run "lsof -i -n | egrep 9909" to see what is using that port

I had used "top" to list all running processes, its seems as though I needed to hard-kill the psyBNC process. Thank you.
