I have heard many of you praising our Hub services, just thinking what more shall we add or do which could make us not only nos.1 but 10 steps ahead of our competitors?

Any suggestions / criticism / comments are welcome

One thing I find I am really lacking in my hub is the hideshare facility. I know that alot of people are dead against this function but I find it very helpful in other hubs I use. I say this because I do a fair bit of online streaming using my shoutcast server. In times like this I find it necesarry to hide my share as it prevents silly amount of buffers when someone tries to download from me. As it stands, I have to leave my hub when DJ'ing and that is no good when my station is specifically aimed towards users in my hub. hehehehe

Hmm I guess kev will be the right one to reply on that but you did opened my eyes for something in your post. You have shoutcast and its not hosted with us .... how about that

Hello and indeed your hub hosting is realy awsome...
An idea to make you 1 step ahain of competition is to have few basic lua
scripts alnog with the hub so we can use them if we want to. (If they are realy super good scripts it would be better ofcourse. .
This will help lots of people especially since verliforums was down for so long.

Basic scripts that I use and might be need:
-Welcome into's and outro's.
-A script to display message every x minutes.

I know Kev is getting the new version ready and I'm looking forward to request more stuff when that arrives

I know. I don't use my server enough to warrant it but I have other operators in my hub who do. Unfortunately, one of my Ops runs his own hosting company. No names mentioned. In fact, he was the one who put me in contact with you guys for my hub hosting. Best bit of advice he has ever given too. He gives me free shoutcast with my webhosting so I wont be switching just yet. Its also UK based hosting which is local to me.

I also agree with megaron. A timed message script would be handy. I have lua scripts that do this but they are designed for PtokaX. As for welcome intro's and outro's, I am pretty sure we can do that already.

I must say you are really lucky!! wish I ever had a friend who gave me free dedicated servers.

I have tried almost every hub hosting service around, and let me just say this... 24Shells is the best service period. Look no further for hub hosting. My hub is private so it's not a large one but it runs very smooth. The only thing I would like to request is SSH access to the mysql database. As I mentioned it's a private hub and I need a way to get accounts list and passwords. Not a big deal but it sure would make things that much easier for me. Keep up the good work guys!!

Maybe the SSH access for mysql is a good idea, also PhPMyAdmin or VerliAdmin, as i have some pluggins running e.g. stats, but are useless unless i write down a new lua script, retreive the data and use in a local web server.

SSH I doubt, but we should wait for kev to announce when he is going to release our self developed control panel to manage hub hosting. I think that will replace verlihub panel or other useful web control panels.

ALL of the above feature requests are part of the updated version we are working on except SSH access of course which will not be nessessary.
Now that I am back at work we hope to soon have a public version ready for scrutiny to all shells clients. We will keep the forum news section updated as soon as this is made available to you.

Just thought i would a few words, As i have only had my hub with you guys for 2days now.

What i think would be good idea is some Info For Newbies. I bet there are a few out there that have never worked or used this kind of hub.

So maybe a Help file or what 2 do would be great from the 24shells hub.
Eg like me more tex files or should i say scripts. How 2 Do it.

Just remeber not all of us have your know how.

You can google some great guides on verlihub. You can also use the verlihub forums as well. If you have specific questions on the 24shells version of the hub software itself, myself or others here can help you with those.
